infoTech Niagara Holds 12th Annual BETA Awards
by Jeffrey RossinfoTech Niagara held it's 12th Annual BETA Awards last night at the Buffalo Convention Center. The BETA's honor the best and brightest in the technology field here in WNY.
350 guests attended a trade show featuring 40 organizations as well as the BETA Awards dinner and presentation. The Awards show was accompanied by video skits, featuring 2012 BETA Award Finalists which were produced by EMedia Studios in Tonawanda.
"The BETA Awards not only honor those who stand out in the technology field, but also allows them all a chance to connect and build a stronger IT Community," said Jeff Ross, infoTech Niagara's Vice-Chairman.
The winners of the 2012 BETA Awards by category are:
Executive of the Year - Donald Jacobs - 3rd Learning Inc.
Student Award - Ian Forsyth - Yale University
Techie Award Lg Co. - Paul Visco - Roswell Park Cancer Institute
Techie Award Small/Med Company - Joyce Fruth - Mount Mercy Academy
Tech Culture - Freed Maxick CPA's
Health IT - Independent Health Core Administrative Platform Team
Rookie of the Year - Patient Intel, Inc.
Best Online - Burchfield Penney Art Center
Social Media Award - Lloyds Taco Truck
Tech Community Award - Dan Magnuzewski
Board Award - Maggie Sommers-Higgins, Earthlink Business
Chair's Award - Phillips Lytle LLP
infoTech Niagara is the IT Association for WNY. The organization works to promote technology companies as well as educate and connect companies, entrepreneurs and students who are interested in technology.
