The Passion in Progress Festival affords high school students from across the city of Buffalo, NY the opportunity to participate in a festival of ideas, highlighting global, local and personal aspects of "The Big Picture." Through interactive workshops, a multimedia exhibit entitled 25 Blocks and the keynote address students will gain an understanding of their own goals, the richness of their community, and issues affecting the modern world.
"I strongly believe that this festival has the potential to incite a change in the way these students view themselves, the community, and even the world at large," explained Dana Hogan, a senior at City Honors, who is spearheading the event this year. "We hope to inspire the participants to become an inspiration to others. Managing this year"s festival has been challenging, but as I have had the opportunity to contribute to the festivals held over the course of the last three years, I had an idea of what changes could be made in order to improve and expand the event."
The Passion in Progress Festival will take place from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM at City Honors School, 186 East North Street in Buffalo, NY, just a few blocks east of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
